Twisted

The Twisted series is a new addition to the artist’s body of work. It is inspired from a tree in the park neat the artist’s studio. This tree is a twisting “catalpa” tree which are debarked places and discolored. The twisting form of the tree is a unique shape that the artist related to due to a difficult trauma she experiences in 2019. She finds comfort in the knowledge that something twisted and tragic can turn into something beautiful.
