To the artist, subtle break in the smooth texture and cool gray/green colors are the most appealing aspect of beech tree. In the winter, peach colored leaves may stay on beech tree branches bringing some color to the forest during the winter months. Chanterelle mushrooms are one of the artist’s favorite things to sculpt, hunt, and eat! Chanterelles are found growing in midsummer near the exquisite beech trees
